How You Can Change Your Locality Doing Church Outreach

By Tammie Caldwell

People will never know how good you feel in your walk with Jesus if you do not share with them. Those that have been called out of darkness into spiritual light should make it their responsibility to guide their neighbors into the same light. It makes no sense keeping the word to yourself yet some people labored for you to get the word. Let us see how proper church outreach can lead to growth.

You will realize the reason Christ dies for men is so that they could have eternal life. In the Bible, it is quoted commissioning the disciples to go into the world and preach the word to the ends of the world. Failure to which he will not come because it would unfair to judge people of their sins yet they had not heard the gospel of salvation.

Some people are always in the habit of judging other people and the think that they live a better life, and there is no need to reach out to them. Christ Jesus humbled himself into human flesh so that he could share the love of God with humanity. Christians should also emulate the same kind of life.

A Christian establishment that desires to grow and reach different parts of their locality has no excuse because there are many avenues that they can use. If you are a pastor, you can train your members of the new ways to do outreach. You first need to look at the social gatherings that people like and use the same activities to organize a church function.

From that point, you can now preach to these people. Outreach is the backbone of every church some of the fastest growing prayer centers have mastered the art of making the churches a family. When there is love in the church people would want to spend more time there. Most family establishments lack the direction, and it has made the society decay.

We no longer have an authority to give the moral direction of certain controversial issues. Let us now look at the role of the Bible word in the life of a Christian in relation to evangelism. It does not help as a born again person who just attended services without reaching other people.

It does not help to judge other people based on the faith we profess. Instead, we should labor to get to their level and tell them how they would benefit by coming to Christ. Others might have known the word previously, but the pressures of the world had chocked them, and they might have resorted to their former lives.

It is imperative that children of God be evangelistic in their way of life and their actions. The harvest is plenty, but the laborers are few. The lost souls want the message and a person who will go and minister to them. It is the responsibility of every Christian to ensure that the people who are close to them know the good news of Christ Jesus.
