The Skinny On Media Buying New Orleans

In advertising firms, one of the most important departments of all would be of course the media department. This department is very important because it is the department that would deal with the mediums in which they will be putting all of their advertisements. Of course one of the most crucial jobs of this department is none other than media buying new orleans.

Now if one would want to become a buyer, then he would actually know how the world of the media companies would actually work. Basically, these companies would sell the advertising agencies a slot where they can put their advertisements so that the viewers may be able to see them. It is the buyers job to plan out what the agencies would need and to get the best prices.

Basically, the job of the buyers is to make sure to get the best deals on airtime for the firm. They will be the ones who would research on what kind of airtime the firm would need and how they are going to get it from the media companies. From there, they would try to negotiate for the best deals from these companies.

Now the buying part is one thing but the planning process is another that would take quite a while to do. As stated above, one of the tasks of buyers would be to research what kind of medium would be suitable for the needs of clients. In order to do this, the buyers have to first determine who the target audience of the ad would be so that he know which medium to choose.

Now once the buyer has already determined who the target audience is, then the next thing that he should do is to look for patterns in their behavior. If he would observe their psychographic patterns, he will be able to know when these viewers will most likely look at ads. By knowing this, he will be able to know when to show the ad and how frequent he should show it.

Now after one has already done this, then he will already know more or less which type of medium he would want to use. Now the four kinds that he may choose from would be the print ads, the tv ads, the radio ads, and internet ads. Now the buyers are tasked to find out the rates of all these four options so that a budget can be created.

Now the next thing to do now after canvassing the rates would be to create the schedule which would already include the budget. The schedule is pretty much just a breakdown of all the types of mediums that are going to be used and how much. From there, one will be able to know how much he has to spend on the mediums.

When all the preparations have been done already, then the last part would be the negotiations. Now this is the tricky part because one will have to negotiate with the media company to get the best deal that there is. He would have to use a little bit of negotiating skills in order to get some deals or some discounts along with the package.
