Using Viral Videos To Market Your Business

By Laraine Lorett

Have you heard of using video marketing to help grow your business? There are many things you can do, and there are many things you need to know and not leave out as well. Don't think you know enough, as part of learning is to continue learning and growing with the current trends.

When you are using video marketing it is important to keep your content interesting. If your video is dull then people will probably not watch the entire thing or recommend it to their friends. Make your message clear and engaging to your audience. Imagine you are watching your own video as a consumer.

When producing video content, don't fret too much about production values. The production value of your video is not related to your results. You should focus on the quality of your content and on sharing your video efficiently. Huge companies have made great marketing plans with simple videos.

When you create a video for marketing purposes, your viewer has to believe you. Anything faked within the video, be it, your backdrop or your demeanor, will throw them off. If you want them to believe what you're trying to tell them, be honest, transparent and come off as warm and friendly.

People love competition, which is why holding a video contest is such a great marketing strategy. Ask viewers to create their own videos and then have everyone vote on them. This will help drive viewers to your site and energize them by giving them a chance to win something.

Put together some credits for your videos. You should give a title to your videos, list the names of the people who appear in your videos or who helped you and of course give some details about the products featured in the videos. Make sure you add a link to your main site and encourage viewers to visit it for more information.

If you are new to video marketing, don't worry too much about the equipment you are using. You do not need a professional television or movie camera to do video marketing. A simple camera will work just fine, as long as it can deliver good quality digital videos. A webcam is never a good idea for video marketing.

Make sure that you measure the effectiveness of your video. Of course you can make some educated guesses regarding how people are going to respond. You need the tracked statistics in order to know if you're getting where you're supposed to. A couple of measures may be the number of people that have viewed your video and how long they stayed tuned in.

For people who are new to video marketing, try to keep your videos short. Around 30-45, seconds is a good length to start. You really do not have a lot of time to get your message through with the viewers' short attention spans. As you become more experienced, you will notice that you are able to get your message across within this time frame easily.

You should have a better idea as to how to incorporate video marketing strategies into your advertising plan now. Make sure you have a good knowledge base in order to put everything together properly in order to be successful. It takes some hard work, but you can definitely tap into the extra help.
