Benefits That The Belize Connection Gives The Tourism Industry

By Margaret Thompson

A great vacation spot would forever be somewhere people can have great adventures safely. Tropical countries are great the whole year round since the chilling cold does not force people to stay indoors. A place as naturally and historically rich as Central America should not be passed from the list of places to visit.

For a place like Belize, tourism is simply a lucrative industry with its many diving, hiking and historical sites. Agencies like the Belize connection provide all the information needed for any travel itinerary in the country. They give accurate updates on events and other happenings that tourists might be interested in

Salt water is the perfect cure for everything and the best way to do this is by diving and marveling at the world under water. Belize has so many beautiful and well preserved sites, it is unbelievably wonderful. The remnants of pre Columbian relics and architecture also bring a magical touch to every visit.

A total of 15 archaeological sites that can be found here. With these certain departments in the country are organized to protect these historical assets. While most of the sites are public property Some remain to be privately owned. Visiting these sites would require permission from the land owner.

The diving spots and beaches are to die for. One of the most beautiful underwater sites is the Barrier reef with its well preserved corals and wild life. The reef stretches up to 190 miles. You can see so many species of fish just swimming in swarms. This is definitely a sight that needs to be seen more than once in any lifetime.

Another heart pounding activity is diving the blue hole. The spot is a large circular canyon that looks dark blue showing off how that area is exceptionally deep from the other areas surrounding it. The 450 dive is enough to make you lose your sanity for awhile, which makes this perfect for adrenaline junkies. As you swim on the way to 200 feet you will be accompanied by bull sharks.

The historical sites should also be an important part of the itinerary. With 15 archaeological places to visit, this makes Belize the perfect location for an educational trip. The institute of Archeology makes sure to maintain the historical value of the place. A popular destination would be the Lamanai with its three different highlighting temples which are the Mask temple, the High temple and the Jaguar temple.

The zoo and its tropical wildlife is also swarming with animals of different species. They have many mammals which includes jaguars and white tailed deer. Some of these animals are owned by contributors and are being prepped to return to their natural habitat. There are around 543 species of birds that can range in so many colors.

A country as diverse and well kept as Belize will flourish as a lucrative tourist destination. This is why the government banks hard on this industry to help many of its locals find a remedy to the bad case of poverty they have there. Tourism will be the road for businesses in real estate and merchandising to open and give the people something other than tourism to work with. This is why there is a great need to protect the natural structures and resources in places as naturally rich as Central America.
